Marc Milburn’s Fast Profits Formula Review

Marc Milburn’s Fast Profits Formula provides a no-nonsense overview of online marketing for newbies.

The course divides into 7 video training Modules:

1. Introduction & Overview

2. Your Own Info Product

3. Writing Your Webpage Copy

4. Accepting Payments

5. Putting everything Together

6. Marketing Your Product

7. Building Your Business

With each module Marc provides PDF, MP3 and video files you can download to your desktop. He also provides links to other resources (cleverly upselling his own product in his members’ area with products and courses on e.g. copywriting – but hell why not, they’re at least relevant and certainly not intrusive.) He also offers a bonus training module, which you can go through after you’ve finished Building Your Business.

Marc’s delivery is animated and the language he uses easy to understand. This is perfect for newbies, who will almost certainly need some hand-holding – as do we all when starting this stuff without a degree in marketing, graphics and html! Each of the sections is covered in detail. Some of the videos are a tad long in my view and could have been either a little more concise or cut up into smaller portions of 25-30 minutes; an hour or even 45 minutes is a long time to ask someone to sit through any training at home in one sitting.

The main thing to note is this is solid content: this stuff works, anyone who’s been marketing online for a year or more will recognise these methods are proven to work and if you do what Marc teaches you, you will make money and begin to build a solid online business.

I like the fun graphics on his site and the overall impression is of a young marketer who genuinely wants to help people get a foothold in internet marketing and enjoy doing it.

The price too is exceptionally generous at only $8.95. I can see that going up in the very new future, so if you are looking for a comprehensive entry-level course in internet marketing, you’d be crazy not to take a closer look.

List Mechanics Review – A Complete [Video] Course For Internet Marketing Newbies

List Mechanics Review – A Complete [Video] Course For Internet Marketing Newbies

I just gained access to a nuts and bolts course on internet marketing called List Mechanics. It’s created by marketers Anwesh Rath and Paul McDonald.. and it’s pretty good. Thorough. No bs… just like it says on the tin – list mechanics.

If you’re a newbie to internet marketing, this is the kind of course you should be looking at – not these fancy push-button software offers on Clickbank.

Why do I say that?

Well, I think you need to learn how to walk before you try to run. Seems obvious, but so many people sink everything into ‘short-cuts’ which promise quick riches and almost invariably disappoint   😥 Not much point in having clever software if you don’t even understand… list mechanics.

Here’s the spec:

  • List Mechanics is a 19 video course on list-building and leaves nothing to the imagination
  • Each Video Includes Comprehensive Mind Maps
  • List Mechanics Condenser – A summary of what the videos teach
  • 10 Squeeze Pages & 10 PLR Reports for lead generation
  • Priced to sell @ $47

The members area is simple, clean, easy to navigate. The videos you can download if you wish. Subjects covered run from the basics of setting up a squeeze page to viral marketing. (For some reason they picked only video 17 to open with a very cool, cinematic animation of moving cogs pulling back to a lock and a heavy door that opens to a dramatic, cloudy sky.) The video presentations make use of comic pencil drawing animations, which I also liked. A well structured presentation in each.

If you’re just starting out online, this is very good value.

My List Mechanics Bonus Buy List Mechanics through my link and I will throw in Power Up Your Squeeze Page, my own in-depth guide on list-building which will complement and, to a degree, supplement the List Mechanics course.

Clear your cookies Just be sure you buy through this link (you may have to clear your cookies first) and check affiliate id = jacksteane. Then forward me your receipt to nic_penrake@hotmail.com subject “List Mechanics Bonus” and I’ll send you to the download page for Power Up Your Squeeze Page by return.

3 Hot Tips On Marketing To Your List

How to cut through, get subscribers to open and click on your emails?

They say 10% is a good open rate. 2-3% of that figure may click on your link. You see how hard you have to work when you have a list under 1000….

Tip #1

Make your email stand out with a compelling subject line:

Here’s a small list of winning subject lines

Subject: 3 ways to profit from PLR right this minute

Subject: How to go from zero to $100 per day in 30 days

Subject: Live demo exactly how this software raked in $500 in five hours

When you read such headlines, your curiosity peaks and you think, Damn it, I want to see that… I want it too! If your subject line doesn’t arouse curiosity and desire, you might like to re-write it.

Tip #2

Don’t be too tricksy with your subject lines simply in order to get your subscriber to open your emails. I frequently unsubscribe the second I feel I’ve been taken a ride – even on an email. Don’t you? Do you like being told you’re going to watch a video that shows you how to do something, only to arrive on a Clickbank sales page?

Emails with subject lines like: “Your account has been activated”.  What ‘account’?

‘Your PayPal commission’ So you open it thinking, Maybe I made a sale. No, you’re being asked to subscribe or even by something. It’s irritating.

Be creative but be straight. And for the mot part write it the same way you would if you were writing to your brother or sister, or a friend.

Tip #3

Make your emails as entertaining as possible. Add some humor, some personal details, what you’ve been up to (as long as it’s not the washing up or doing drugs!), link to world news… It only has to be a short paragraph. After all, what can you tell about a marketer who writes, ‘Hurry now, this list expires in 24 hours, don’t miss out on this amazing gift!’ He or she hasn’t the slightest bit of interest in communicating with you, or ever getting to know you. You’re just fodder for his/her machine.

It’s easy to forget your list are comprised of real people. When I started copywriting15 years ago  many corporations were still writing to their customers with a stiffness and formality that betrayed a lack of imagination and emotional intelligence. Things are better now. And with social media becoming ever more ubiquitous it’s essential your emails project EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE.

Dialogue opens doors for your online business

One of the best bloggers I know in Internet Marketing is Yaro Starak. And one thing I’ve learned from visiting Yaro’s blog is that he presents himself in an interactive fashion – by which I mean, he invites the reader to come in and comment and ask questions. He likes to interview people, for instance, and through his interviewees he provides tips on what makes for good blogging (or marketing) as well as promoting his own blogging course.

Of course it takes time to build up a readership of any kind, longer still to build up a loyal readership. You have to be consistent. If not persistent. You also have to come across as someone who is genuinely interested in having a dialogue with his readers. No one is all that real to us until we engage in a dialogue.

I write reviews on my blog, but I don’t consider it a review site, or merely an information centre, a depository of free internet marketing tips. I would hope it serves as a medium through which you, the reader, can gain more than mere information.

How often have you said about a movie, “I didn’t care for the characters, so I switched it off.” The older you get, the less impressed you are by mere cleverness – you want character, warmth, kindness, generosity… or else why spend time with this person?

But it’s also partly up to you…

What do I mean?

Be an interactive reader

Well, the more you interact with me, the better your experience in coming here. By engaging me in a dialogue I will get to know you, consider you and possibly throw you a favour or two. And hopefully we get into something we’d call – loosely speaking – a relationship.

So tell me what you’d like to see more of here. Ask me what I think… A guy I was doing an ad swap with asked me for my opinion on his squeeze page today. I said, Well, I think there’s too much yellow highlighter everywhere (looks a bit like a traffic hazard!) and the copy could be cut down 20%, the headline 4 words shorter. He didn’t have to agree with me, but hopefully he appreciated the feedback. The point is, we’d made a connection that was instantly more real than it had been at the point we’d agreed merely to do an ad swap. Now I’ll remember him and he’ll remember me. That could count for something in the future.

Dialogue (with a blogger you like) can make the difference between a mere (good) read and opening a door that could lead to an opportunity.

I reply to all my (relevant) comments, so let’s hear them. Meantime, you may find this FREE ebook of use in your own blogging.

Take Action – With A Generous Entrepreneur

I was talking to an internet marketer friend yesterday and in the course of our conversation I suggested a couple of simple joint ventures we could do.

“Yeah, sure, but I’m just waiting on some stuff to come through, and then we can perhaps do that.”

Hm, I thought. OK.  He wants to wait. He’s not a copywriter, so he’s probably not warming to the idea of writing an email we can swap. Whatever his reason, waiting was the outcome. Waiting is another way of saying Do Nothing, by the way;)

It’s not automated or passive until you DO SOMETHING

I know internet marketers bang on a lot about automated /passive income a lot in this business, but let’s be clear, you won’t see much of that unless you Do Something.

Unless you’re very strong willed and have been in business before in some capacity, I humbly submit that in order to be doing more and waiting less, you need a mentor. Not any old mentor, but someone who takes an active interest in everything you’re doing: your tactics, your strategy and your management of both.

You need someone close who will comment on what you’re doing or not doing, else all you’ve got to go on are your stats. And I’m not saying they aren’t important, but they are very DULL and hardly motivating, unless you are a self-confessed nerd (no offence;)

So if you’ve landed here like a busy bee, and you’re about to hop off to another page and hope that one will give you a bag of magic tricks that you don’t find here,  good luck to you.  You might soon be about to fag out. So just pause a moment and consider getting in touch.

Always easier when you discuss your strategy with a mentor

If you’re a beginner, I have the perfect all-in-one-step-by-step ebook to get you from zero to earning a few thousand a month within a short period of time –

Power Up Your Squeeze Page.

If you are already an experienced marketer but not yet full-time, consider marketing a high ticket item. When you go for the paid item, you get the added bonus of being able to ask me for help with what you’re reading. I don’t know of any other mentor who offers that.

Check out my work for free and download the FREE version of Power Up Your Squeeze Page so you get an idea of the full version.

The way I started to generate momentum? I teamed up with people. I started talking to marketers, asking them for JVs, building relationships. If you’re waiting for the next hot course, or the monthly salary cheque to arrive before you implement this or that tactic, you’re doing too much waiting.

All you need to do is start talking to other marketers, because once you get them interested in you, and you agree to DO stuff together, you’ll be doing twice the lifting at only half the effort.

Of course some people will ignore you. Some people are too busy or way out of your league, but sooner or later you will find people who are willing and generous enough to DO stuff with you. That’s where you get the breaks.

So here’s me: nic.penrake

Add me today. And thanks for reading.

How not to market online

When you’re completely new to IM, you just want to get out there and start selling, right? You’ve been told to take action, so you want to broadcast to everyone, Here’s me, I’ve got a great product or sysem!

The thing is, no one gives a shit. And if you paste/pitch your products on Forums and Facebook, people actually think worse of you. I know it sucks – wouldn’t it be so much easier if that’s all you had to do? – but once you’ve been online for a while, you’ll be feeling exactly the same. It’s just kind of vulgar and naff.

So the first thing to learn is patience. Put your time into working at something that will attract and help people, and build yourself a real business.

Credibility is ESSENTIAL for long term business and profits. You have to interact and generally appear as though you are interested first in helping people, and second, making money. You have to convince people that you deserve being paid. And then it’ll start coming in.

The only person going to buy from you when you shout your wares in a forum or on FB is another newbie, as desperate or more so, than you. True, there are more newbies joining every day, but if you are only targeting ‘virgins’ you are unlikely to develop any lasting business relationships that provide you with a sustainable source of income.

Making Money Online involves creating a BUSINESS. Only businesses make money – and businesses are all about solving problems for people.

Whatever niche you are targeting always ask the question, ‘What do they need and how can I help?’ Provide a tangible answer to that and you’re in BUSINESS.

Internet marketing scams

When you first approach the world of internet marketing, you can’t help thinking, This can’t be real… this has gotta be a scam. Rhymes with spam, man. And, in most cases, you’d be right. But guess what, you so wanna believe you’re wrong;)

So you go for this… and that… and wo, there’s another one! Chase it down… into a dark alley. Damn, lost my money again…

Was it a scam?

OK, this is my honest take on it. I’m not going to go into specific cases – you can read a very good article citing examples clicking here – but stay with me a minute, come back to that link, after this.

Most internet marketing opportunities aren’t literally scams. They are probably just imperfect systems. They require ideal conditions in order for you to gain from them. Let’s take mlm. Your average mlm, home-based opportunity requires you to get people to join your team. – But for what?

The chance to make some money, dumbhead.

OK. I get that. But what are you selling?

Cue laughter. The chance to be in my downline, stupid.

Your what?

Yeah, you know, my downline, man, it’s like part of a chain that goes 5 levels deep. No, 7. I forget. But it’s cool. You just have to recruit your entire family – and that aunt you never speak to – and you’re doing fine.

And that’s marketing?

Er, yeah, kinda. Get with the program, man.

And you could sell a new product with this, er, downline of yours?

Hey, man, don’t be so negative…

OK, so maybe it’s not that easy to sell these ‘opportunities’, and maybe they’re really little more than pushing money and emails around. And if you have big network of sometimes gullible friends, you can make some money. But what happens when the ‘opportunity’ and your downline gets tired?

Who cares, as long as I made enough money, right?

OK, so this is where I interrupt. I’m serious about becoming a better entrepreneur. I’m serious about being able to take any business and do the marketing for that product or service. No matter what. I am serious about becoming an expert in lead generation. And I am serious about helping other people achieve the same – or even better.

So what about these high ticket, direct marketing schemes, or systems, or whatever they’re called? These guys are charging big bucks for joining like this YourNetBiz thing of yours.

Why the high ticket? Well, that’s the business model. That’s all. YourNetBiz offer a lot of value and a lot of support. When you join my team, for instance, you gain instant access to The Six Figure Mentors -which is an excellent EXTRA resource you wouldn’t get with any other high ticket item I know of.  Would you expect to go to a college or university to study online marketing and pay only $97? Exactly.

The point is, with YourNetBiz, you can learn in your spare time, AND DO SOME MARKETING, too. And when you start to generate sales, your commissions will be higher than anything you’d see on an affiliate program. This is the busines model. It works.

Does it mean I have to, like, work at it?

Yep. At the beginning, you most certainly have to put the time in. If you don’t, you wont’ get results and you may even give up thinking, Oh, hell, it was just a scam. You have to study and you have to take action. But you know what, when you start attracting leads, when people start to see you’re here to help, they will happily pay what you’re asking…

What I do with YourNetBiz is I coach people and turn them into entrepreneurs, not email pushers. You have a choice, either you want to take it up a level or stay where you are. The internet is growing at 10% a year in the US. If you’re at all business-minded, you have to conquer this environment. Yes, you probably could muddle through on your own – but why go solo when you can work with someone with years of experience in marketing and multiply your chances for success? And make money while you’re at it;)

But how do I know who’s a good mentor and who’s a bad mentor?

Simple, listen to your gut. Get to know the guy before you sign up. I wouldn’t take on a new team member until he or she had visited my site at least 3 or 4 times. I don’t look for dilettantes. When I signed up to my mentor I’d watched at least half a dozen of his videos and returned several times to his site.

OK, this guy has something, I thought. Let’s do it. But only then. People who get scammed? On the whole they rush into things. So, if you’re reading this, I’d say, take your time, look around, come back here, open a dialogue, weigh things up. Then I’ll know you’re ready…

Learn Internet Marketing With A Generous Marketing Mentor

Is this anything like your story?

You tripped over a url one day – like a bit.ly or a tinyurl – something about a fantastic system generation Mr P $100,000 a month on auto pilot, maybe you were on twitter or facebook… anyway, whatever, and that link took you tumbling down a well till you landed on a – guess what – a landing page. Otherwise known as a squeeze page, or lead capture page. This funny looking, solitary page with lots of red type and quotes was so ripe with plumy messages, you couldn’t help but type in your name and email and downloaded your ebook or report, and maybe you went on straight away to buy your first product … and then you did it again… and again… and again…

…until you’d wake up mornings to find your inbox littered with bold messages, promising easy ways to wealth and abundance… And so  you got hooked, chasing this online income, these easy pickings you’d been reading about, eyes nearly popping out of your head… but somehow – were you jinxed or something – it seemed everyone else was making money and you were just spending it.

Work from home became work-from-home hell

If you haven’t already discovered it, you possibly know the solution already: you need a mentor. A coach. Some training. And not just any old mentor, a mentor who is going to make him or herself truly available AFTER he or she’s sold you his system, his product – because all mentors have them.

So don’t struggle alone – no, life’s too short.

Get a generous marketing mentor to help you

Why do I say generous? Because if he or she isn’t, he or she doesn’t really understand the value of attraction marketing. To attract people – to market, to make money – you have to be generous.  It’s quite simple really.

Internet marketing has a lot to offer – money, freedom, the fun of helping others dump their boring day jobs and move on to something that gives them more satisfaction… But it takes work to get there.

Information overload?

If you are just starting out in internet marketing, chances are you are already overloaded with information. You could have been working at this game for a few months and still made little money.

You have a vague idea what seo is. You muck around with google’s keyword tool and make a list. That’ll do it, you think. A week later you wake up to see you’ve just spent $200 dollars and still haven’t got a sale. I’ve been there. All the gurus have too. Again: solution: a generous marketing mentor.

Working hard and getting nowhere just doesn’t feel fair, does it. The damnest thing is, you know you have it in you to be a successful entrepreneur. Hell, you’d settle for a few hundred dollars a month just now.

How to get ahead in internet marketing

If that’s how you feel, you have to take action. And that means you need to learn internet marketing from a generous marketing mentor who will stick by you and bring you on, introduce you to his network, keep feeding you marketing tips and encouragement.

Did I say a few hundred dollars a month back there? OK, let’s think bigger now. Six figures big. Think that’s not possible? You and six figures? Believe me, it is possible. You just have to take action. And keep taking action. With your generous marketing mentor by your Skype.

Stats

I was looking at the stats for generous entrepreneurs yesterday. For some reason Fridays seem really quiet. I guess that’s possibly something to do with people rushing off to wherever to wind down for the week, finally leaving their screen behind for a while. I scrolled down the page and took a look at the chart for countries. Unsurprisingly, UK was top and USA second. In third place… can you guess? I would never have thought it. I asked a couple of friends and they ventured, France? Germany? Spain? China? Australia? New Zealand?… They never got it. Well, third place was Russia. So for all my Russian visitors, I just want to say Dobro požalovat! I used to work with an Art Director from Moscow, great guy, name of Alexey Fedoseev. Big guy with a very gentle manner and always eager to help out. Loved – and I’m pretty sure, still loves – his vodka from time to time. He used to announce himself at London ad agencies as, ‘The first Russian Art Director in London.’ He was good, too. Not just with art direction, he was the first art director I’d ever come across who knew CSS and html! Fourth place was Holland. So welkom to my site! I’m not going to list them all, of course, but the stats for Russia intrigued me.

I hope to hear from some of you people visiting the site from hundreds and even thousands of kilometers away. enjoy the content. And if there’s anything you think I can do for you, get in touch.
