Protect Your Thank You/Download Page

So you’ve created your sales page, you’ve got your product up there and it’s launch time!

People are buying your ebook or video course… but some people are getting sneaky and finding your thank you and download page and getting all that hard work of yours for free.

So here’s a tip. Go into the source/html part of your page and put this bit of html at the top:

<meta name=”robots” content=”noindex,nofollow”>

This code will block your download page from the search engines.

All being well Power Up Your Squeeze Page goes live as a Warrior Special Offer (see warriorforum.com if you don’t know it)  tomorrow, December 16, so do look out for it. You won’t find such a comprehensive overview of marketing with a squeeze page in one ebook anywhere else. If you haven’t got the free report (pre-launch) yet, you can find it here http:powerupyoursqueezepage.info/pre-launch.

How to get more comments on your blog

Do you get enough DECENT and RELEVANT comments on your blog?

We all want comments, right? Good ones, that is. Unfortunately most blogs, especially new blogs, receive very few real comments from real people (everyone gets spam comments though).

Well, firstly, if your blog has no traffic, you will not receive any comments.

If no one is reading your blog then no one will leave comments either. Simply posting great
articles to your blog is not enough – you have to market your blog to bring people to it.

But what if you do have some traffic… and you’re still not getting comments?

Generate more comments to your blog:

– Write articles that reference or focus on other bloggers. You will get their attention that way and there’s a good chance they will come to your blog and leave a comment as a result

– Ask your readers a question at the end of your article

– Write about topics that stimulate conversation, such as current events

– Be controversial with your writing. Have a strong opinion and others with strong opinions
will reply to argue or agree with you

–    Join in in the conversations once you’ve got a couple comments

–    Look at the posts that generate comments and compare those without and do more of the kind that attract comments

–    Ask you subscribers what kinds of posts they’d like to see more of?

And on that note, what would you prefer to have more of?

Just leave a comment to tell me! By the way, I have a new book coming your way shortly – Power Up Your Squeeze Page – which will cover just about every aspect of using squeeze pages you can think of, from concept to creation to traffic generation. I wrote it as an answer to all the kinds of questions I had when I first started out online. More on that soon.

Writing your own e-Book

Writing your own e-Book

I appreciate that, in the internet marketing niche, the ebook is no longer quite the thing it was. We have video now, and lots of it. Video tutorials are more to people’s taste, it would seem… And yet, videos aren’t always accompanied by the clearest of voice overs….

I bought a product recently – a ready-made website using WordPress – that came with a very bad video tutorial. If you were a beginner, you’d have given up, plain and simple. Myself, I had to stop, pause, rewind… and even then I had to ask a friend to help out with a couple of things.

What I’ve found with a lot of ebooks, especially the freebies, is that they’re poorly written, they contain pages of waffle and fluff and don’t cover all the steps I need in order to have a solid foundation in the kind of marketing they are aiming at.

That’s why I sat down to write an ebook on writing and creating squeeze pages. There’s plenty of info on this subject and plenty of videos on various aspects of the squeeze page system, but I wanted to write an ebook that covered all the basic aspects of the squeeze page – from concept and creation to promotion. This had to be the book that I wished I’d found when I started out.

When marketers tell you you can knock out an ebook in an afternoon, well, good for them…. Mine took me a solid week. Admittedly, I went to the trouble of designing an eye-catching cover and taking the main picture (I had a friend do the photoshop work) and I spent a few hours screengrabbing images, a couple more just formatting the pages… By the time I’d finished, I realised I wasn’t going to make this a giveaway any more. I’d be charging $7, if only to partly cover my time on the job. I’d be very surprised if it made me the equivalent I’d charge as a copywriter – but I wrote it in the spirit of a giveaway, so that’s OK.

One of the problems everyone has with internet marketing is the sheer volume and diversity of information on the subject. One day we wake up and there’s an email telling us we should devote all our energies to Facebook marketing. The next day it’s backlinks. Then it’s CPV. Or Cell phone marketing. And if you think that’s enough, no, you should also be vlogging. Basically, go put your head in the microwave…

And we read all this info – a bit here, a bit there – or view it – and although we’re learning, we struggle to put it all together. Some of us, who have mentors, get a little help, but most of us just have to do it ourselves. ‘It’s not rocket science,’ you keep hearing, and yet 95-97% of people in internet marketing don’t make a profit.

So, in a bid to make a little dent in that figure for failure, I’ve written an ebook that aims to pull together various techniques into one coherent story. It’s called Power Up Your Squeeze Page. Do look out for it.

Learn Internet Marketing With A Generous Marketing Mentor

Is this anything like your story?

You tripped over a url one day – like a bit.ly or a tinyurl – something about a fantastic system generation Mr P $100,000 a month on auto pilot, maybe you were on twitter or facebook… anyway, whatever, and that link took you tumbling down a well till you landed on a – guess what – a landing page. Otherwise known as a squeeze page, or lead capture page. This funny looking, solitary page with lots of red type and quotes was so ripe with plumy messages, you couldn’t help but type in your name and email and downloaded your ebook or report, and maybe you went on straight away to buy your first product … and then you did it again… and again… and again…

…until you’d wake up mornings to find your inbox littered with bold messages, promising easy ways to wealth and abundance… And so  you got hooked, chasing this online income, these easy pickings you’d been reading about, eyes nearly popping out of your head… but somehow – were you jinxed or something – it seemed everyone else was making money and you were just spending it.

Work from home became work-from-home hell

If you haven’t already discovered it, you possibly know the solution already: you need a mentor. A coach. Some training. And not just any old mentor, a mentor who is going to make him or herself truly available AFTER he or she’s sold you his system, his product – because all mentors have them.

So don’t struggle alone – no, life’s too short.

Get a generous marketing mentor to help you

Why do I say generous? Because if he or she isn’t, he or she doesn’t really understand the value of attraction marketing. To attract people – to market, to make money – you have to be generous.  It’s quite simple really.

Internet marketing has a lot to offer – money, freedom, the fun of helping others dump their boring day jobs and move on to something that gives them more satisfaction… But it takes work to get there.

Information overload?

If you are just starting out in internet marketing, chances are you are already overloaded with information. You could have been working at this game for a few months and still made little money.

You have a vague idea what seo is. You muck around with google’s keyword tool and make a list. That’ll do it, you think. A week later you wake up to see you’ve just spent $200 dollars and still haven’t got a sale. I’ve been there. All the gurus have too. Again: solution: a generous marketing mentor.

Working hard and getting nowhere just doesn’t feel fair, does it. The damnest thing is, you know you have it in you to be a successful entrepreneur. Hell, you’d settle for a few hundred dollars a month just now.

How to get ahead in internet marketing

If that’s how you feel, you have to take action. And that means you need to learn internet marketing from a generous marketing mentor who will stick by you and bring you on, introduce you to his network, keep feeding you marketing tips and encouragement.

Did I say a few hundred dollars a month back there? OK, let’s think bigger now. Six figures big. Think that’s not possible? You and six figures? Believe me, it is possible. You just have to take action. And keep taking action. With your generous marketing mentor by your Skype.
